A little disappointed because it has the same design as iphone 3G.
If people look at it, who can tell which one is which?

yea it looks a bit blah to me no offense
Well, it's a good time now to replace my 2y-old 1st gen with a 3G -- $99 is an insult of my original $399 iPhone :D
Overall, no much impressed, I was expecting the "one more thing".
I'm happy with it :D
I was hoping for a front facing camera but you cant have everything i guess.
Im going to be replacing my current 1st generation iphone anyway since its nearing its second birthday.
A bit dissapointing...
And another reason for not to believe all the bullshit it is said before the official launch.
The "spy shots" floating around (of the unit with the flat back, front-facing camera, and shutter button) looked awesome, and I'm more than a little bit disappointed to see the iPhone keeping is 3G design.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and no FM radio, either. I'm sad about that.
EDIT: And where's our sweet A2DP headset? Apple's original bluetooth headset has been discontinued, AFAIK, and at the moment there's no replacement.
It could be an excellent replacement for my aging 2G, though. I might even switch to AT&T.
If the back cover is exactly the same as the 3G, what about the hairline cracks?
I myself, along with a large group of people am widely disappointed in the rumored iChat (front-end) camera that doesn't exist. The lack of an FM module or the clarification of iPhone-to-iPhone file sharing is also a turn-off. It almost seems like the only good that came out of the 3GS is that the 8GB 3G is only $99. I'll be recommending that to all my friends who are in need of new contracts. :)
It was fun reading all the posts leading up to the launch with all the "insider" information although in the end it did lead to a little disappointment.
Although when its all said and done it is still a great phone and they did a really good thing by dropping the price. The worst part is the lack of features supported by AT&T... They need to pick it up a notch or Apple needs to drop them.
