Iphone 3.1.2 stuck in DFU mode
I bought this new Iphone 3GS with firmware 3.1.2 in China (Model - MC179CH/A) and tried to jailbreak/unlock it as I want to use the phone in another country.
I first tried to use Blackrain RC3 and succeeded in performing a Jailbreak on the phone. But, unfortunately I did not have a wifi connection and thus could not download and use Blacksnow.
Thereafter, I tried to use Pwnage tool 3.1.4 and built a custom firmware using 3.1.2 as the base. After doing the custom restore through itunes - it gave me an error (which I cant remember).
Now my phone is stuck in DFU mode (black screen - not able to power up, not able to restart, no combination of Home/Power button is working). I tried to restore with base 3.1.2 firmware and it did not work. I tried to restore with custom firmware built through the Pwnage tool and it did not work.
Now, I am stuck and dont know what to do. I can try and drain the battery and maybe it will go back to recovery mode when recharged again. But, how long would it take to drain the battery as the phone would hardly be using any battery at this point and most of all would it work.
Assuming that this works, which firmware and software do I use to Jailbreak and unlock the phone. I would prefer to use the Pwnage tool if it would work.
I have gone through numerous posts on this site and others but unable to find the exact solution to my problem. I am hoping you will be able to help me. The following information I recovered from the System Profiler.
