Strange, on saurik server I have only 3.0 and 3.1.... Nothing about 3.0.1
Trying to get 3.0.1 give me a 4ko file without any keys....
I think that saurik server has not saved the 3.0.1 shsh for everyboddy that has push the "make my life easier" while beeing on 3.0...
I can retrieve something when i use the command with 3.0.1, but it's only 4KB and the other ones from 3.0 and 3.1 are 66KB. I guess my shsh for 3.0.1 isn't stored on Sauriks server...

FWIW, I generated my fw 3.1 ecid/shsh using umbrella; I also retrieved my 3.1 ecid/shsh from Saurik's. I compared and they are the same :)

Is there anything this umbrella tool can do for me?? I see people making 3.1 blobs etc however of course I do not want to update my iphone / ruin baseband
can you generate the 3.1 blob without actually going thru and upgradng ur 3gs?

I just opened Cydia and it invited me to store my IDs for 3.1 - I pressed yes and am in a queue however I am still on 3.0 so not sure how this works as presume I would have to be on 3.1 for this to be successful.
I guess I am going to ave to wait for Dev Team to release a safe way to upgrade to 3.1 (aint 3.1 buggy anyhow?)

I haven't tried this, yet I am planning on it. I have two iphone 3G[S], one has the ECID SHSH saved on Saurik's server and the other unfortunately is not saved.Quote:

Someone correct me if my thinking is incorrect, but I think this means we can still save our 3.0 ECID SHSH to Saurik's server by utilizing this utility. This means that you can save your 3.0 fw now and use it to restore if you need to. Thus, you do not need to upgrade to 3.1 fw to use this. In fact, you should NOT upgrade to 3.1 if you need to unlock or want a jailbroken 3G[S]. At least for the time being.
If you do have 3.1fw on your iPhone, you can save it to your computer and Cydia will automatically do this as well, giving you both options. It's never a bad idea to have a backup plan. :D
