That depends, is it a 3G or 3GS model? Anyway, in order to unlock you can just use PwnageTool or redsn0w to install the iPad baseband and then unlock with ultrasn0w.
well i updated to ipad base band 6.15.0 but my firmware is 4.3.1 do u have any idea when they are updating ultrasn0w i read on iclarified that they have test the unlock and will release soon but now that news is not anymore on the site any ideas? and my iphone is 3gs old boot room
I don't know when they are releasing the update, but you can install a temporary version which has a signal bar bug, when you always appear to be with only 1 signal bar, independent from what you really have.
