    well, now I have Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 on windows, a friend has made a custom ipsw for me... and i think that i have bootroom.... i have started redsn0w and when i tried to select the custom ipsw it said "unable to recognize specified IPSW" what i am doing wrong? i have read some howto on internet and all says to use the original retore ipsw... if i do so... it doesnīt works becouse the screen turns white... and in a few seconds it turns on yellow and again notthing works...

    Redsn0w uses the original 4.1 IPSW to put the iPhone into Pwned DFU mode.

    Then you run iTunes and shift-click restore then select the custom IPSW to restore.

    If the pwned DFU mode doesn't work, then you may have a hardware problem.

    Iīve tried from itunes and from redsnow...and yellow screen of death....

    So finally i have a bricked iphone.. :-(
    anyway thanks a lot!!!and thanks a lot for being so patient whith me!

    No you don't have a bricked phone, you have a hardware problem. This is all pointing to - your NAND is damaged, failed or not responding.

    The solution is to get someone with surface mount desoldering experience to either resolder or remove and replace the NAND chips on your mainboard.

    If you look at the image here, the chip in question is the one in the middle labelled Toshiba http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/h...6I2UNWjYJ.huge (it might be from a different company in your iPhone)

    it is enought for me... i donīt know anyone who can do surface mount desoldering. And if the chip is damage, where can i find anew one and at what price...i afraid tha i will put the iphone at the end of a drawer. many many many thank for your interes and preocupation!
