I have a canadian iphone 3gs locked to rogers which got restored to 3.1.3 and now is virtually unusable. I can use an At&T connection but the sim is not getting recognized.

How do I lock the phone back to AT&T?

You are stuck until an unoffical unlock comes out for 05.12.01 - avoid updating more. Get a Rogers sim to activate the phone and allow use as an iPod touch.

According to Apple's website Rogers does not offer official unlocking but you can always ring them and make a fuss, offer to pay off the remainder of your contract etc.. See if they will issue an official unlock for you.
