iPhone3GS: Apples Lock/Unlock Server....?
Hi all, to explain the weird title:
I just got a iPhone3GS-replacement phone from Apple, sent one in from a colleague which was
totally dead. It is brand new (i.e. 3rd 4t and 5th no of serial give 153) and on BB 5.16.05.
It wouldn't activate on the O2-sim card, seems like the original was a T-Mobile phone.
So I decided to give redsnow a chance (without the ipadBB of course), and everything went
fine, successful jailbreak and phone activated and working on O2. Went on a business trip
to India, phone worked in Dubai and in Bangalore Airport, I still have the welcome SMS in the inbox.
Didn't checked it further until reaching the hotel, where it said: no net.
Checked with another phone: plenty of networks...
Question now: is it possible that it's status was changed between jailbreak and today, so
that it is on a netlock (again) ? Like they ship the phone, and only 1 or 2 weeks later, the
entry on the central register will be made ? Sounds unlikely, but then again...
Will check again at the airport, maybe it is just a HW-issue .
Thanks, greetings from India ;-)

Small update: home again, same route, no net anywhere. So something changed during the travel, as the phone is now obviously a netlocked one. Question is still: why was it working in the first place and only later got netlocked ? Now I guess I just have to wait for a BB 5.16.05 unlock or until it can be officially unlocked...
