    Default iPhone won't restore

I was listening to music in my car through a usb connector when my iPhone shut off, came back on, and prompted me that only emergency calls were available. When I got home, I tried to restore my iPhone, but got error message (9). I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes - no help. I shut the iPhone off, disconnected from my macbook, reconnected it and held down the home button to boot in restore mode and have been stuck here ever since. i've been trying to use iRecovery and the suggested prompts I've seen, but it definitely isn't working.

    iTunes version 10.2.2
    iPhone 3gs never Jailbroken
    iOS 4.3
    Mac OS X 10.6.7

    error log: http://pastebin.com/WH89DK0N

Is it fixable or should I give up and go to the geniuses?

Your baseband is screwed (corrupted stack).

As far as I know, no one but apple can fix this.
