Sorry I'm not that techy and am probably asking a typical noob question... HELP

My Jailbroken iphone 3GS(3.1.2 thats all I Know) lost signal the other day so i resprung it and now it won't restore can't get it into recovery mode only DFU mode tried restoring through Itunes just give error 1600 even tried last resort upgrading to 3.1.3 still no joy.

I've tried with several different versions of Itunes , I've let the battery drain and left blackra1n running to see if that will work.

I've tried on different PC's (mine currently runs vista and my laptop Windows 7)

are there any other programmes I can use to restore the firmware apart from itunes?

Restoring to 3.1.3 is not recommended. It should have worked though (but given you an un-jailbreakable phone). Posting iPhone restore logs helps others get more of an idea as to why it failed 1600 is a pretty common and generic error.

Read up about SHSH and how Apple can block you restoring older OS versions. Caching Apple's Signature Server - Jay Freeman (saurik)

Also, you need to clarify if you previously needed to run blackra1n after each time you restarted the iPhone.
