Default iPhone slowly charging, screen dimmed when charged, and light flickering

    hi

so i have (had ) and iPhone 3GS from italy.
    worked perfect.

i tried one of those extra batteries to charge my iPhone on the go. (this one).

now, i did three "irregular" things i've never done before.

    -used Bejive Messenger with Push
    -used Backgroundr for Bejive
    -used the battery

    now, here comes the trouble.
suddenly, bejive behaves strange, "connection abrubted" or something like this several times, messenge gone, message appeared, gone, appeared.

then, my iPhone crashed and rebooted.
the reboot took incredible 7 minutes (!!!!!), and when done the screen wasnt backlit anymore.
well it turned out, as soon as it is powered on (battery, usb charger, usb from computer), the screen goes reeeeelly dark (even when the room is totally dark, you can barly see it, but the light is there, just very low).

as soon as i unplug the cable the backlight works again.

another problem since that accident, it charges really slowly.
i had it charged over the night on the original iPhone USB adapter.
from 11PM till 8AM, the battery went only from 17% to 43%.
so, it does charge, but painfully slow.
and the battery dies quite fast, i didnt use it at all, and the battery went from 43% to 35% in 10 minutes.
this day i noticed another thing.
the screen (well the backlighting) started to flicker, like a lightening. it was really hard to still read something or write SMS.

well, i still have warranty in italy, and i'm planing to go there ( i live in switzerland), but still, its craptastic.

so befor i go to italy or send the phone there, has anybody ever had similar problems?

is it the battery, the logicboard or the LEDs? what do you think?

    hm, i already did that.
well, i did restore from the backup, but the screen was dark already even before i select "set up form backup".

i was on 3.0 before, restore (not update) to 3.0.1.
during the whole restore process the screen was dark too.

i hoped it was a software error too, but turned out it wasnt poor little baby

I have 3 iphones and had a weird battery/charge problem in the past few days on one phone.

Seems that Backgrounder was either corrupted, or had a revision that didn't work well. I had done an upgrade in Cydia about 3-4 days ago, then one iphone would drain rapidly if I backgrounded a program (Loopt). I removed and reinstalled Backgrounder and tested it out, and ever since then, it's been fine.

Try removing and reinstalling it, and see if the problem goes away. I think there was a recent update, but I'm not positive.

As said, i already tried restoring (now for the third time) and setting it up as new phone, but the results are the same.
battery is very slowly charging, and the backlight is almost not there when charging.
    thanks thoug

    well thats strange.
yesterday evening the iPhone was at 17%, and this morning it was empty, turned itself off.
now i'm charging it and the screenlight works again.
might it be, that all it needed was a longer period with no power?
