Hello everybody ,

Recently i got an Iphone 3gs with 4.3.3 and BB 05.16.02, the old bootrom.I don't know how to check if its Ipad baseband so i'm looking foward to find out how to check that.I have jailbreaked it successfully and after that on attempt on use Ultrasn0w i get message that the network list coudn't be unlocked.I'v have read alot on the subject and if im not wrong its because Ultrasn0w doesn't support that baseband, correct me if i'm wrong.So my question is what are my possibilities now to unlock it so i can use it with my carrier.I heard that it might work if i update the BB to 05.16.02 but that would screw my GPS functionality and it cannot be downgraded.So iv decided to write here for some opinions and advices.I also know that this Iphone has been completely working with IOS 4.0 but im not sure on what BB.Thank you in advance

also i forgot to add that im not exactly sure how i can check if the Iphone has been updated to Ipad BB, so if there is any way to check that and im sorry if i have posted that in wrong department .

Run TinyUmbrella and connect the iPhone to your computer via USB, that will report baseband and iOS version.

Okay so i'm making slight update on the topic.

Phone : Iphone 3gs (old bootrom)
BB : 05.16.02 ipad base band
IOS : 4.3.3

PHone is jailbreaked with redsn0w but due the BB i cannot unlock it with using Ultrasn0w.So my question is how i can unlock it to carriers without upgrading BB to 6.15.00 and is Gavey sim avalible solution for me either ?

GeveySIM is illegal in your country (geveySIM is illegal in any country where dialling 112 connects you to emergency services) - so I suggest you don't consider that option.

Right now, you have two options:

1. Contact the carrier the phone was originally locked to and ask if they will authorise a carrier unlock
2. Upgrade to the iPad baseband and use ultrasn0w to unlock.
