Try uninstalling and reinstallingt iTunes (properly) Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7 also uninstall any other low level type software that could interferfe with your restore (wifisync, libusb)
Your phone is not properly detected according to the logs, that is why it is failing.

Tried that, didn't work, tried on a new windows installation aswell just to be sure...
Tinyumbrella recognizes it and apparently fixes the restore, but the phone doesnt reboot, it's just black..
edit: just then after I tried tinyumbrella again the phone boots into a white screen...
edit again: tinyumbrella now says recovery device connetced, tried restoring with itunes which gave me an 28 error...

Publish the restore log from 28 error. This can be a hardware problem with the daughterboard that contains the dock connector on the phone.

This seems to be a hardware error.
Error 28 is typically a hardware error. If you examine the Updater log and see entries that state "unable to find AppleNANDFTL", this indicates a hardware issue.
Specifically, it can't detect the controller/interface for the NAND chip. The NAND chip is where the OS and your music/apps etc is stored.
Do a NOR only restore with unpatched NOR images and if it's still under warranty get it replaced by Apple.
