Default iPhone 3GS stuck on FW 05.14.02 any solutions

iphone 3gs ios 4.1 possibly jailbroken with limera1n (limera1n & cydia installed) but stuck with fw 05.14.02 !!!!!

Yes and before you berate me, I did extensive reading, but somehow missed the new Apple changes for 3GS upwards on SHSH checks. Only discovered this info, after a visit to the Genius Bar, and they upgraded my 3GS to 4.1 after telling them just to restore to 3.1.2. So now don't have any old SHSHs.

Is there anyway to unlock this or downgrade baseband? I.e. all including DEV team are saying this can't be done, but can't we trick the restore process and just go back to an old firmware without SHSH blobs? Or clone some SHSH's, or hack the ipsw file?

I'm not going to berate you. However this type of question gets asked and answered at least once a day.

No, you cannot downgrade baseband - ever - on a 3GS.

Without a SHSH for a prior iOS release, you cannot downgrade the iOS version either. Note downgrading iOS version never downgrades baseband.

Next update to ultrasn0w will support this baseband on 3G and 3GS, expected in late November.

Until then you have to wait and I recommend you read up about SHSH to try and remove some of your confusion regarding how it works. SHSH - The iPhone Wiki
