Hello all

I just got a new iphone 3Gs - 32GB - factory unlocked

I at time hear a sound while talking on the phone at full volume as if the speaker is kind of crackiling... this is when a person talks loudly and at times its ok...

is this normal as if i reduce the volume it seems to be fine

no one knows about this...

oh ok! well can some one check this and let me know.

this happens mostly when the other person is shouting into the phone!

anyways its not during every call as it seems to be natural I guess.

Not much to add, other than I've got a 32GB 3GS on AT&T that I got at launch of the 3GS and I do not have this issue -- you may have a bad speaker. If it's possible to duplicate the issue on demand, you should visit the Apple store and duplicate for them -- they'll probably switch your phone out while you wait.

well its all ok just happens when it some one shouts.

Even still -- people don't crackle or pop when they're shouting into my ear -- and I run an IT department, I get lots of shouting! I'd contact Apple for a replacement -- warranties don't last forever!
