    Default iPhone 3gs DFU loop

My dad try to reset the iphone via setting>general to get rid of all the information(he did this without telling me), and it went to the apple logo loop. The phone was on 6.15.00 and on the version 4.2.1. I tried restoring with with custom firmware and I end up hitting DFU mode loop and I tried iREB, tinyumbrella, redsn0w and irecoveryfix.

Now I'm using 4.3.3 custom firmware and I end up with the error 1015(but the phone is in DFU mode still according to tinyumbrella). I tried to use redsn0w to kick it of DFU mode but it doesn't work. Any ideas?

I can't update normally because it's 6.15.00 baseband, but I can't seem to get out of DFU mode loop. I think the problem ended up cause my dad tried to reset the phone through settings but even so I don't know what to do anyway. I've read a bunch of forum, tutorials, video, etc. but none seem to help me with my problem, and I think this phone might be bricked[?]

First step - what SHSH blobs do you have saved for this phone? Apple no longer signs 4.3.3 so that is why you get stuck in DFU when trying to load 4.3.3 without a saved SHSH blob.

I do not have any SHSH blob saved for the 3gs since my dad just handed me this phone frozen few days ago

the reason I was using 4.3.3 because it was the most latest custom ipsw that I know of

Read up on SHSH and you will soon understand that your actions in restoring with custom IPSW (but without SHSH blob), just destroyed what was probably your ONLY chance at an untethered jailbreak (until someone releases an untether for 4.3.5 or 5.0)

As a hint, the correct action should have been to run iFaith and extract a partial 4.2.1 SHSH blob, then run TinyUmbrella (just in case your dad had tried to save SHSH blobs with Cydia in the past).
Custom IPSW on newbootrom devices only works in conjunction with a valid SHSH blob for say iOS 4.2.1 or 4.3.3. This has been true since iOS 4.1 and the unveiling of the limera1n bootrom exploit. Prior to then custom IPSW ONLY worked with old bootrom 3GS (where the SHSH checks can be patched out using the 24kpwn exploit)

Now.. your only other (untether) chance is that it is an old bootrom 3GS. So I'd check that out first.

If it's a new bootrom 3GS (and chances are, it is) then you are limited to a tethered jailbreak on 4.3.5

I'm 100% sure that my dad did not saved the SHSH since he doesn't even know what a tinyumbrella is, and all he did was jailbreak the phone. It's unfortunately the new bootrom 3GS, and I probably wait till an untether jailbreak comes out whenever it comes out(it it does come out) simply because I dislike tether jailbreaking after a bad experience. Thanks for the help I guess I'm going to have to wait this one out
