iPhone 3Gs 3.0.1 jailbroken
Hi, i am sorry if i sound stupid but i am confused with all the different messages that i am reading all over the internet.
I have a 32GB 3Gs with 3.0.1 jailbroken using redsn0w and don't care about the unlock since i am using it on my service provider and eventually i can legally unlock it within another 3 months time period. Now I missed the opportunity of creating the certificate on CYDIA for the 3.0 release, but i just did it using fw-umbrella-semaphore 2 days ago so i suppose this will for 3.1 for future use. Now, can someone please perhaps summarize in my case the option that i have in case my phone will have to be restored for some reason, or my options if i want to upgrade to a 3.1 version?
Thx.

You can make a pwned 3.1 and restore to that, you will still be jailbroken and your baseband will not be updated (that does not matter to you)
There is no way for you to restore to 3.0 anymore.
A full jailbreak for 3.1 is very close (geohot is challenging the greenpois0n guys to release the jailbreak before he releases his) then you can simply restore to official 3.1 and jailbreak with whichever jailbreak tool comes out first.
