I have a 3GS that someone went tubing with and upon opening the iphone for inspection the battery was corroded and the circuit board on the battery was fried. The screen still works and wants to sync, but the dead battery symbol shows on the screen.

Does anyone know if the battery 616-0434 with 3.7V on the 3GS can be swapped out with a battery from the 3G 616-428 or 616-366 that is 3.7V as well?
