help,what bootrom,bootloader do i have after itunes update 3.1.3
Hi to all ,ok ime a noob when it comes to iphones really, although i have done a jailbreak years ago,my question is this,i have a 3gs phone that got updated off of itunes about 2 months ago with this new 3.1.3,am i right in thinking that soon there will be a jailbreak unlock for this,i mean are the hackers working on it and will it be released soon ,i mean what did the update from itunes do ,does it update bootrom or is there now a way of jailbreaking the 3gs with 3.1.3 thanks, also is there a program that can tell what fw and bootrom and bootloader i have, people say you type this ime number in or something but i tried and it does nothing
Your bootloader does not generally get upgraded by an iPhone OS upgrade. In fact it has only happened in the OS 1.0.x days

Yes hackers have proved they have a jailbreak for 3.1.3 on the 3GS and for 3.2 on the iPad - however they will wait until iPhone OS 4.0 is released (June/July) before the jailbreak is made public. This is good strategy.

1) Your question about 3.1.3 has been asked and answered about 6000 times already. Please use the search button in the future. There is an exploit in 3.1.3 and 3.2 that has been confirmed, but no tools have been released and are not planned for release until the new hardware is released (expected July).
2) There is no easy way to reliably find out on a non-jailbroken phone. In that case you're forced to guess based on the manufacturing week that can be extrapolated from the S/N.
