    Default help, don't know where to begin

    I just bought a new iphone and want to have themes on it. Been reading some stuff about it but getting very confused. What do i need (its only for themes)? Only installer app or do i need jailbreak too? I read that ppl having a lot problems with installer 4.0. Wich installer is safest to use?

    What phone/OS are you running? You are talking about Installer - which suggests you are still running OS 1.1.x however a new phone would have OS 3.1.x on it.

    apple iphone 16gb 3gs and when i'm in general it says version 3.1.3. the only thing i've done on my phone is dowloaded games through app store... let me know if you need to know more

    If you have not got a SHSH for 3.1.2 backed up you can't jailbreak right now.
    See Caching Apple's Signature Server and Apple stopped signing 3.1.2

    Jailbreak is required to install themes.
