    Default Hardware unlock for 3GS?

Had anyone heard of hardware unlock for 3GS? After the unlock, your iPhone 3GS will become like the Official 3GS that you can update without being locked...

I heard that it's currently being used on iPhone 3G, user can update without being lock back...

The process required to remove a chip and reprogram it with official data then solder it back...

I haven't heard of any hardware unlocks for the 3GS, other than 'turbo-sim' unlocks - but I've heard a mixed bag about turbosim on the 3G S. I'd wait for purplera1n before I opened my phone up and started soldering into it. I'm no stranger to removing surface mount ICs and reprogramming them, but I usually avoid it unless it's ultimately 100% necessary...

So do u think it's possible for the mount ICs & reprogramming? No one mention about hardware unlock here for the 3GS...

Yes - it can be done on the iphone 3G like you described.
The idea behind it is making your locked phone looks like an international phone.

    I don't know about the 3GS though.

So u mean it is possible to reprogram the ICs chip from AT&T (locked) to Italy (unlock) and Apple will think that your iPhone is from Italy when you restore or Update and auto unlock it for you... Am I Rite?

    Will it worked on 3GS?

We've all been fairly clear so far -- in theory, it should work -- but no one here has tried it. We know it works on the iPhone 3G -- so it absolutely SHOULD work on the iPhone 3G S -- but I can't find a single reported case of someone being successful in doing so at present, either on this forum or elsewhere in the webbernets...

Someone always has to be the first one to try

for the 3GS, no one knows.
Attempts to take the 3GS apart has proved difficult because Apple hides things whatever that may be (I'm told).

On the 3G, reprogramming of certain IC is required BUT no one knows how long it will last before Apple catch on to it because the unlock still requires communication with Apple server via itunes

Its possible and tested by me it works flawless on every 3g i tried and In 3G-S the chip we required to program for Retail official full unlock is removed and the same data apparently merged with TOSHIBA NAND which is not probably dumped by anyone in my knowledge
