forced to restore bricked 3GS 4.2.1 (8C1489)
happened yesterday it bricked in greenp0ison )panic; hanging up here) . jailbroken now but is the 3GS unlockable at this point?
am i totally screwed?
Depends. I'm not entirely certain whether you're asking how to fix a 'bricked' phone, or whether your phone is unlockable.
Assuming you're asking about an unlock:
1) When you upgraded to 4.2.1, did you let it upgrade your baseband?
2) If not, what baseband is your phone running right now?
Assuming you're asking about how to fix your 'brick':
1) What is the phone doing right now when you connect to iTunes and try to do a restore?
2) Have you tried a DFU mode restore?
