Hi everyone,

I'm having the following problem with my 3gs (3.1.2 - Blackra1n). The phone is completly hanged, it doesn't start up, so I tried to restore it, there is where the problem came up.

By default it starts in DFU mode since it was jailbraked with blackra1n, I didn't saved my SHSH so I tried to load a custom firmware downloaded from the web, but I always get a 16xx error. Tried with pwnage creating my own firmware from an original 4.0 image, but always get the same error. Tried with 4 different computers (mac & pc) and got the same result.

And as a last resource I tried with iTunes 9.2 to make an original restore to 4.0 image downloaded automatically by iTunes, but got the same error! Also tried with 6 different USB cables and a lot more things in my desperation to get it working.

Also tried with iREB, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with 3gs. At this stage I don't know what else to do, so I came here looking for your help.

Finally got iREB woring, but with white screen mode got the same 1604 error

In all runs the time between the last command and the error is 5 minutes, so I suspect this is a timeout. Like if iTunes is waiting for something and iPhone is either not responding or responding something iTunes can't understand.

I would really appreciate your help on this, I'm going crazy with this error!
