There are no factory unlocked iphones in the US. It might have come from a US sender but it's definitely not a US model... If what you say is true, and a stray iphone found its way to your home by accident and on top of that it turned out to be a non-existent* US factory unlocked model, then if I were you I'd be heading out to play the biggest jackpot in your area.

* Some credible account point to the fact that there exist some units that carry LL marking that are shipped by Apple to Apple stores in countries with factory unlocked iphones as replacement units. And these replacement US models are also factory unlocked.

i believe it is a replacement unit. Because it is from customer care and came with nothing at all. Also with return shipment. Will the phone get locked if i use it or use i tunes, sync...

Funny u mentioned lottery, i dreamed the winning numbers and Friday there's a big jackpot

I tried a different provider chip (Fido) on the i phone and it is not working.
I guess all i did is just activating it. Because it was set to work with my provider (Rogers).

Sorry i am a newbie and just learning that stuff. Sorry for the misinformation.

Now i got some reading to about unlocking.
