    I bought my factory unlocked from UAE (united arab emirates) but from dU and not from etisalat!

    hi all...
    I'm getting myself the iPhone 3GS from a friend of mine in the Emirates. He will buy it from Etisalat.

    He heard that although this is a factory unlocked iPhone, but some features may not be accessible, i.e. gprs-data, wifi (problematic), etc.

    Is this true, that if we buy factory unlocked iPhone from one country and it would be problematic to use it in another country? I'm in Indonesia by the way... thanks...

    If it is truly factory unlocked, all features should be accessible for you.
    Depending on which carrier you use, you may have to configure some settings manually (eg MMS settings)

    just bought an iPhone 3GS 32Gb White last week from Vodafone Qatar, factory unlocked. Before that I had a Black 16Gb 3G which I bought from Australia, factory unlocked too (wasn't available in Qatar at the time).

    The 32GB 3GS sells for 3,499 QR, they had the 16GB 3GS too for 2,999 QR but I'm not sure since I can't find it on their website anymore.
