But f0recast says so
I have a 3GS (never been Jailbroken) Firmware is 4.0(8A293), Baseband is 05.13.04, Bootloader is 6.4, Model is MC143 and f0rcast says Jailbreakable : Yes (don't upgrade!). So i tried to jailbreak on my Mac with itunes 9.2 using Pwnage tool 4.01 but everytime I try to restore on itunes I get the dreaded 1604 error. Damn you 1604. Anyways just wondering is my iphone able to br jailbreaked and what programs do I use. Thanks in advance.
- don't trust any software from ih8sn0w.
- you have upgraded to iOS 4.0 (or you purchased the iPhone with iOS 4.0) - you need to be able to downgrade to 3.1.2 before you have a chance at jailbreaking. DO you have backed up SHSH? Even then you need to have an old bootrom.
- last I checked f0recast it was not able to check the bootrom - so it based it's decisions on the serial number. This is very unreliable.
- f0recast has not been updated to properly recognise iOS 4.0 yet.
