Baseband 5.11 unlock not looking good... I think
I just read Geohotz's tweet.
"burned up a 5.11 baseband exploit not in a program...in no place right now to write blacksn0w...hope someone does"
Does this mean the unlock solution for iphone 3GS OTB 3.1 is still going to be for a very long while? I hope not.
Please correct me if I mis understood the tweet. I hope it did.

Re: Baseband 5.11 unlock not looking good... I think
This command was already checked by musclenerd from dev team quite a while back and he had already confirmed it was useless for an unlock.
Which means yes a very long wait (if ever) for an unlock on that baseband version.
This is yet another reason to not support ih8sn0w or any new and unproven teams claiming jailbreaks etc. The devteam has a proven track record. They play the cat and mouse game with Apple properly, keeping quiet on what they have left up their sleeves.

He's working on a possible unlock exploit and I think with dev team and maybe geohot but not quite sure!
Let's hope there is at least someone out there who can work together and not have another drama like what geohot was having!

As far as I have read, Chronic Dev and Geohotz were working on the the same exploit which turned out to be non-exploitable after all. So in short, the unlock is no where near its completion.
