    Unhappy Activation bypass with gophone?

I recently bought an iPhone 3gs from a friend and since he was a atandt customer and I wasn't (lol tmobile!) the phone got locked out. Let me explain.

I was messing around on my phone and all the sudden after I turned it off and turned it on again it just got stuck on the apple logo, unfurtuatly I pressed update and restore (I ouldnt get the 3.1.2 restore to work, and I still can't) so now I have a locked out iPhone.

    So the question! :

Is there a way to bypass the activation? *Note* I can NOT get past the locksxreen, only to emergency calling

Is there a way to restore my iPhone to 3.1.2?

And if all else fails... Can I activate the phone with a gophone sim?

It's difficult to understand based on your post, but let me see if I got this correct:

    1) You were having trouble with the phone (an iPhone 3GS)
    2) You plugged into iTunes and completed an upgrade to 3.1.3
    3) You want to use the phone on T-Mobile

If that is correct, I have bad news -- upgrading to 3.1.3 has carrier locked your phone at present, and if you don't have an SHSH on file for 3.1.2, you will be unable to downgrade your firmware back to 3.1.2. The baseband upgrade included in 3.1.3 has re-locked the phone and while an exploit exists, it has not yet been published and likely will not be until next week or shortly after, when the iPad has launched and firmware 3.2 has been released.
The preceding forum post has been brought to you by the letter "N" and the number 42.

    iPhone 4, 32GB (iOS 6.1.2 | evasi0n | SHSH: 4.0 - 6.1.2)
    iPad 2 3G, 64GB (iOS 6.1.2 | evasi0n
    |
    SHSH: 4.3 & 4.3.3 - 6.1)

Sorry If I wasn't clear, Yes I am trying to get the Iphone to work with T-mobile.

I believe that I have the SHSH stored with Saurik's Server but I am not positive and I am checking with the software umbrella right now.

Every time I restore it says The iphone "Iphone" could not be restored and itunes messes up, am I supposed to do something else other than that?

And if I even manage to get back to 3.1.2 will I be able to bypass the activation since I dont have a sim card? (well I have a t-mobile one, and I can buy a gophone if needed)

If you can go back to 3.1.2 you can jailbreak (that includes bypassing the activation) but you won't be able to use the phone part unless you have an AT&T sim (no unlock yet for the 05.12.01 baseband)
