    Default 3GS upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2.1

    hello I need to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2.1 . My 3gs has been jailbroken with redsnow and has ipad baseband . is it possible to upgrade my IOS without having to start from scratch? if so can it be explained thanks

    Did you save your 4.2.1 SHSH before Apple stopped signing 4.2.1 requests?

    TinyUmbrella will tell you this.

    Due to your baseband, you can't do an "in-place-upgrade", you must do a restore (via iTunes with pwnagetool 4.2 custom IPSW and saved 4.2.1 SHSH) and then in iTunes select "restore from iTunes backup" not "set up as new iPhone"
