Default 3gs unlocked now resore loop mode???

I got a 16gb 3GS the other day and got around to unlocking it last night. I played with it for about 30 mins and downloaded a custom springboard from Cydia and tried to start it. When I did the phone just shut off. Now when I try to turn it on the apple logo comes up then the screen goes blank. Is there anything I can do except wait and hope for them to release something? I've tried re-JB and it gets through most of it but just gives "ERROR!" on the phone.

You may be able to access the phone via AFC2 mode using a tool like DiskAid and restore the original springboard files. This would require knowing what files your custom springboard install replaced.

Well, I downloaded DiskAid and it doesn't even recognize that the phone is plugged in. I tried it in Recovery and in Restore. It doesn't read either.

DiskAid would only work if you let the phone boot (as far as it can boot) normally.

Aside from waiting for pwnagetool to support 3GS the only other option is booting from a ramdisk that can somehow allow filesystem access. Outside of the iPhone forensic market and the devteam, I don't believe such a tool is generally available.
