3GS Phone Blocked
I have brought a 3GS Iphone but it has been blocked, is there a way of getting the phone unblocked or is it now just a throw away item!!!
If it is I'm gutted!!!
When you say blocked, do you mean IMEI blacklisted?

In the UK the only way to find out for sure that an IMEI has been blacklisted is to pay a few pounds to one of the handful of websites that allow queries of the blacklist database. This really puts the onus on the buyers of second hand goods to insist that the seller provide some proof that the phone in question is not blacklisted. Some of the IMEI blacklisting websites offer a service where the seller can pay a small fee to create a free publicly viewable certificate that shows the phone they are selling is not blacklisted.
The IMEI blacklist database is shared across the whole EU. It is illegal to change the IMEI in the UK and there are no tools to do this on a 3GS. Discussions of anything illegal is not allowed on this forum.
