Default 3gs with iBoot-359.3.2 + 4.0 firmware, completely locked up

I have an iphone with what i believe is the old iboot (saw it in the recovery mode under the system profiler) it currently has 4.0 installed, i have no shsh as when i got the phone it was still locked, and i have no "activateable sim"

i've tried downgrading it says not eligible i tried saurik's ip in host still cant downgrade cause ineligible (Cause no shsh history i believe)

Question is are their any options? Is their a proper JB on the horizon for 4.0 devices? I haven't really seen anything for people with actual 3gs 4.0 phones that are locked still... or did i miss something..

any help would be appreciated, i'm back to going thru forum history.

359.3.2 is not the old bootrom, it's the new bootrom. 359.3 (without the .2) is the old bootrom. If that's correct, you are pretty much out of luck. 3GS on new bootrom cannot be jailbroken on iOS 4.0.

as n1ckn4m3 said, we need to see a new jailbreak/exploit released before your iPhone can be jailbroken on iOS 4

If you were smart enough to backup your SHSH for 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 you can revert and use iTunes 9.1.x to jailbreak with Spirit or on OS 3.1.2 you can jailbreak with redsn0w or blackra1n.

Regardless, there is no point continuing this thread, it's closed.
