3GS capable of HSPA 7.2 in Dallas?
So I called At&t several times and went into the apple store to figure out if the 3GS supports HSPA 7.2 and apparently no one knows. I have read online that Dallas is one of the first six roll out markets but Im confused as to whether or not the 3GS can handle HSPA 7.2.
I currently tether at home with my 3G and have recently tried Clear WiMax to only be disappointed by poor signal quality. I would like to upgrade my internet speed without paying an arm and leg. Do you have to pay extra for HSPA 7.2 or is it included with the iphone plan?
Also does anyone else have any good wireless board band solutions in Dallas as my apartments have limited my selection to AT&T broadband for $45 a month and no DSL.
Nobody knows if the 3GS is 7.2 compatible?
If you are referring to High-Speed Downlink Packet Access - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia abbreviated as HSDPA then yes the 3GS integrates a new downlink chip that supports this for downlink to communicate at up to 7.2Mbit/s

As for pricing... well you know that AT&T does not yet officially offer a tethering plan for the iPhone. Enabling tethering via a hack is simple with OS 3.1.2 though.
