3Gs on 3.0.1 stuck on Apple logo.
Hi,
I have a 3Gs on 3.0.1 unlocked with Ultrasn0w. For some reason it has crashed meaning that it doesn't get past the apple logo. I don't have the iBEC iBSS / ECID files and i want to restore back to 3.0.1. iTunes doesnt like this when i alt + restore it to the 3.0.1 file i have on my mac. It seems like it checks with the apple server, knows that 3.0.1 is not the latest version and then kicks out the restore. I also tried to re-jailbreak using redsn0w 0.8, it downloads the jailbreak to the phone but gets stuck on "Waiting for NAND to appear..." and doesnt go any further.
Any ideas, or is the only answer to wait for the pwnage tool for the 3gs and create a custom firmware for 3.1.

I have the VERY same problem...
A friend of mine gave me his iphone to fix, it's a 3GS with 3.0.1 he shomehow messed with the phone and it doesn't get past the apple logo... (it just goes blank).
Unable to restore to 3.0 or 3.0.1 (itunes doesn't allow it as 3.1 is released).
Tried to jailbreak again using redsn0w 0.8 and it didn't work either.
He also doesn't have (or even know) whatever about iBEC iBSS / ECID
So, anyone ?

Please search before you post -- this question has been answered, and answered, and answered, and answered, and answered, and answered, AND ANSWERED.
If you did not cache your signature on file with Cydia, and you do not have your .iBEC and .iBSS files and ECID, you cannot reinstall 3.0.1/3.0 on your device. Apple has stopped signing the upgrade and very few people got their information stored on Cydia's servers for 3.0.1/3.0.
Even if you have your .iBEC, .iBSS and ECID, there still doesn't exist a program to use those files to restore the device...
At present, you're out of luck.
EDIT: If you haven't already tried iRecovery -- you may want to give it a shot. It's possible you can pop your phone out of the ISOD with that utility.
