[3.1.3 3GS] Very short JB Question
Is there ANY way to jailbreak a 38th week iphone that is updated to 3.1.3 thru itunes ..
Before that the phone was password locked ,and because of wrong password tryings, disabled...
So i first restored to 3.1.3 with custom firmware , and it worked nice , with cydia etc..
But when i restore from backup (for apps) , i realised that a fresh restore is needed ..
To cut it short , i restored to 3.1.3 thru itunes..
It was a mistake , and i have no 3.1.2 shsh files previously uploaded to saurik
Now , is there any way to JB ?

what a costly mistake by restoring to stock firmware 3.1.3
Without a 3.1.2 shsh, you are out of luck at this point.
Impossible at this point

not a big cost
because if i even dont do such a mistake , modem firmware was updated..
it would be an ipod , which means nothing to me ..
i lost JB and activation (i just dont care) , but what i really need is unlock

you asked if there is a way to jailbreak and now you say you don't care about the jailbreak, you just care about the unlock.
Regardless, no unlock - impossible at this time.
BTW, you need JB to unlock

I can say pretty confidently, that there will be no new jailbreaks until OS 3.2 or higher is released for the iPhone. At that point, having a 3.1.3 SHSH will be a good thing. So you should learn from your past mistake and get your 3.1.3 SHSH backed up.
I personally think that there will be no new jailbreaks until the new iPhone hardware is released in June/July.
This is educated speculation based on the what has been publicly stated by the key players in the jailbreak scene.

See http://www.hackint0sh.org/f159/99540.htm#post473847 for details. The link in that post explains how to get your ECID without jailbreak. Then you simply use The firmware umbrella.
If you are on 3.1.2 or earlier and don't want to jailbreak yet, this approach is safer.
Or you can modify the hosts file and restore again to stock 3.1.3. That will back up your 3.1.3 SHSH with Cydia. If you are already at OS 3.1.3 this approach is easier.
