XGPS for iPhone 3G

does 3G come with the gps receiver, thus allows it to work with xgps with the turn-by-turn voice instructions?

i have an iPhone 2G. from what i understand, in order to work with xgps, i need to use an external gps receiver.

i would consider getting the 3G if i know for sure it comes with an internal gps receiver.

please advise.

Apart from the fact that any site with specs on the iPhone 3G say it has GPS, no, it doesn't have a GPS receiver, all the sites are just lying

that is too bad. i was hoping xgps works with 3G and not having to use the external gps module.

He was completely pulling your chain.

The 3G has an internal GPS module and it works with xGPS. I use xGPS on occasion with my 3G.
