    probably never. Unless Apple has some sort of surprise coming up this tuesday

    i dont think that would happen... ever. Apple learned a big and important lesson with the iphone 2G. And now since there a many more telcos involved.....well.... i just dont think that would happen....

    They are going to be available in the UK on as pay-as-you-go contract from next week. Still locked to O2 unfortunetely!

    This has been in the news since July, ATT stated this in a press release that you can read here.

    "In the future, AT&T will offer a no-contract-required option for $599 (8GB) or $699 (16GB)."

    They'll probably still be locked to AT&T though.
