im new to the whole iphone stuff, and am just trying to figure out the point to all this. what are the pros and cons to doing something like this? if you do it, does the 3g part still work? what about firmware updates from apple? can i use a prepaid sim from att so i can still get 3g, if it still works? i really think i want an iphone, but i have had problems with att in the past nickle and diming me so i would prefer not to have to be on a contract.

any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated. and yes, i did a search, but the words i was using didnt come up with anything close to what im asking.

actually it is a big deal... theres a size limit set by the hosting provider on the database used by the forum you know and asking the same stupid question over and over again.... just waste useful space.

next time improve your search!!
