Hi everyone, I'm quite new to Iphones. I got this Iphone 3G free, coz it's "bricked" or F%$cked.
Here is what tried...

I got the Iphone and tried to reload the firmware with the latest tunes, and it gave me an 1015 error. Then I realized that the phone doesn't go into DFU mode. So again did some research on how to manually start the phone into DFU mode. Now that I have copied and renamed and repacked and upload the custom firmware, I now can start the phone in DFU mode manually. BUT what's next. Itunes still doesn't work...What firmware do I use, and what is this BASEBAND that everyone is talking about. Should I now download a custom firmware?

I can't see anything on the phone. NOTE: It was working, it kept giving me the Itunes logo without the DFU function. After I hacked the phone's firmware I got a black screen and doesn't switch on. I guess this is fine coz the phone now automatically switches on when Itunes is used.

I have Linux Mint and Windows 7. If anyone knows how to fix this issue I would be greatly appreciated.

i only suggest for you to research at you tube. try to download youtube dowloader to watch the videos faster than watching them in youtube alone. i've tried to watch all of them and followed the instructions of the videos. i say to you that youtube and the piratebay does a lot of help.,.,
