web2go blocking wifi?? help!
i have an unlocked 3g iphone on tmobile. i've been able to connect to wifi anytime i want but now when i try to connect to a router it doesnt connect. when i go to safari it opens up a 'register for web2go' page. i dont know why that page is coming up all of a sudden. i've even tried ejecting my sim card but it still wont connect to wifi anymore. the last thing i did was sync my iphone to my computer (didnt update anything)
thx for the help
I have a similar problem, except it has escalated to the point where my iPhone (3G) won't even see any wifi networks. I don't think this is related to T-Mobile's Web2Go though. (btw, change your APN to internet2.voicestream.com to get internet with web2go).
I'm hoping this is a software issue (I am going to do a full restore this afternoon), and not a hardware issue.
If it is a hardware issue, how would I get a replacement through Apple's Warranty? (I purchased this back in July over eBay)
Your warranty is only valid in the country where the iPhone was originally sold. You may also experience some difficulty in claiming the warranty if it was never activated with the original carrier (especially AT&T).
