I'am new to iPhone Unlocking / Jailbreaking so I wonder if anybody can confirm my Informations if they are up to date

I'am plaining to Buy an IPhone on eBay but don't want to Pay anyone 200bugs for an unlocked/jailbroken one because I can do it my self.
So because of the new Baseband Version 2.30.03 I can't Unlock it.
The only way at the moment is to downgrade the Baseband to 2.28.??
right ? But this only works with Bootloader 5.8 and NOT WITH 5.9

Because of this I need an IPhone manufactured before Janury 2009 that was never Updated, so that there isn't the new Baseband Version on it.

Or I need and IPhone manufactured before September 2008 because these are the ones the the 5.8 Bootloader so the Baseband downgrade to 5.8 is possible, right ?

The only way to tell this is by the Serialnumber, if the Guy I'am buying from has an unused Phone.

Even if the iPhone has BL 5.9, 6.2 or 6.4, you can unlock it if the baseband is 02.28.00.
