Waiting for Activation- was working
I have had a 16 gb 3g for a few months and decided to jailbreak it about a couple weeks ago. It was upgraded to 2.1 firmware prior to the jailbreak. I havent had any problems with it until this morning.
I charged the iphone last night via the standard cable using an outlet. The whole way to work this morning, the iphone kept showing the lock screen, then would go black, then the apple screen as it restarted. Now that I am at work, I noticed that once it restarts, I get the "Waiting for Activation- this may take some time" message. Every 5 or so restarts, I get the itunes logo with the USB cable and the emergency call slider.
I did cancel a line on my ATT account yesterday, and just called them to confirm that they did not erroneously cancel my line.
I only have itunes on my home pc (not at work) and will not be home for another 10 hours or so to do any kind of reset there. Any suggestions as to what is causing this, and how to fix it- preferrably without having to use itunes? Thanks

just re-activate through iTunes... should solve it!

No such luck. I even did a full restore, then when I went to copy my backup files, the phone went back to rebooting. Called tech support and they couldn't figure it out either. Set up an appointment at the apple store and got a new phone within 10 minutes. Less than an hour later, I did a jailbreak.
Now the only problem that I have is when I go to open any downloaded apps, the splash screen appear, then it craps out and goes back to the springboard. Any suggestions on that one?
