Default Unlocking and Jailbreaking my iPhone 3G?

I have an iPhone 3G and I'm curious to see if I can even attempt to jailbreak or unlock. I tried to jailbreak it with sn0wbreeze V1.5.2 but after I created the sn0wbreeze IPSW from the 3.1.3 IPSW for iPhone 3G, it loaded onto iTunes... and then it just stops. It says "preparing iPhone for restore..." and then after a couple minutes, the recovery failed message pops up. I don't know what I did wrong.

Here's my iPhone's info (just restored it, due to the failed attempt) :
    - iPhone 3G 16GB
    - 14.6 GB Capacity
    - 14.5 GB Available
    - Version 3.1.3 (7E18)
    - Modem Firmware/Baseband = 05.12.01

    My iTune's version is 9.1.0.79

I'm currently borrowing my cousin's AT&T chip, but I have a T-Mobile SIM so I wanna unlock my iPhone so it can use T-Mobile.

Any suggestions on what I can do to fix the problem?

EDIT : Followed this guide BTW : Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 with Sn0wbreeze | Redmond Pie

No support for sn0wbreeze on this forum (this has been explained many times before) use either dev team or geohot's tools (redsn0w, pwnagetool or blackra1n)

You can jailbreak with redsnow.. or pwnagetool. Sn0wbreeze should work as well but as I said we don't support unreliable/untrusted software here. There is no unlock for 05.12.01 at this point. An unlock will almost definitely be released within 1 week of the next gen iPhone / iPhone OS 4.0 release.
