start up loop and wont shut down
my 3g was jb with pwntool and i stupidly installed mms2g from cydia. i no longer can put my phone into dfu mode and i have a really hard time shutting it down. i try to do the hard shut off and 9/10 it dont work. i then try and go into dfu and as soon as i connect it to my macbook, the phone just turns on like i never dfu'ed it. my mac dont recognize it in any part of its start up loop.
if someone could tell me how to get into the file systems so that i can delete the mms2g files, or help me get this thing dfu'ed then you will save me a lot of time. please everyone that knows whats going on, please tell me. thanks.

ok, so try this. to turn it off, try holding the power button for about 3 secs then holding the home button till it turns off.
im still stuck on getting it into dfu... i would be happy to even get it into recovery cause then ill just restore it normally and then jb it again.
if you get any further, please let me know or if anyone else gets this.

i just now got it. what you do is do the shut down thing i posted in my last post, then just keep trying to get it into dfu. it took me several hrs. i left it connected to my macbook (i say the type cause idk if it mattars or not) with itunes opened. after about the hundredth try, i got it. i would hold the home button in a little longer... about 20 secs before i would try again.
i hope it works out for everyone else. as of now, it is waiting for activation... should go. but this worked for me, just took time.
