Hi there whenever i wipe my iphone and restore it from the backup in itunes, so of the apps never show up on the iphone itself despite appearing to sync on.

This could be something to do with a dodgy jailbreak or something. I would just start from the beginning instead of a restore but i dont want to lose my sms.

Any ideas?

YOu could try manually copy your sms.db file from the phone to your PC then restore with itunes, start as new phone, then replace the new sms.db with your backup.

Thanks i did think about doing that, arn't there loads of sms db files though??

Its annoying i'd hoped my 3.0 beta firmware would sort out the problem

There is only one sms.db on 2.2.1 located @ var/mobile/Library/SMS/

I haven't really done much playing with 3.0 betas sms file system
