[SOLVED for firmware 2.2] GPS Banned in Egypt

Mr. Tarek can u till me where u find this?
i have some experience with these stuff and i restored mine 2 hours ago and the GPS isnt Working now so i'll be able to test the changes that i would do.

I think you need to check the carrier.plist file for mobinil and vodafone. Inside those we should see something that sets the flag for disabling GPS. The very encouraging sign right now is that it is not removal of the GPS antenna as claimed by both operators. This is the same story with the N96.

No it isnt there i checked before
its in smth that is related with the GPS Files
i just need Mr.Tarek to till me where did he find this ??!

Mr.Tarek i know that u r now able to make the gps working so plz could u let me know how u did that cuz i payed a lot for this phone and it ends with gps and 3G not working ill just use with my phone that's it /any help will be really appreciated /thnx

i have a question .......... are you sure that the gps device / chipset is there inside the iphone that is sold in egypt ....!!?? ..... maybe it is not there at all !!!

Ya Tarek el gps is working great for me i bought the phone unlocked from Milano mafeesha y moshkela fel GPS. i think it has to do witht he locked versions.. did you ask any of the guys who bought the mobinil-vodaphone iphone 3gs?

the GPS Problem is only with the phones that are sold from Vodafone or Mobinil, Factory Unlocked iPhone like the one you have will have a fully working GPS with no problems.
