I have been trying to get custom ringtones for the text messaging for three days now. i ssh into the phone took the .aif file and changed the extension to .caf and replaced sms-received1.caf with the new one. but now all the sms ringtone are the tri-tone (even the ones i did not touch.) what is going on and how do i fix this.

download Wavepad(search on google) than make the ringtone you whant to use with this program when you about to save save it as caf than just change it in the sound folder via ssh make sure you rename it as the original sound that you whant to change it with.
