    Default Slide for Emergency?

I have a iPhone 3G 16GB. I bought it from a friend's friend and it had Cydia, which I didn't want. The version was 3.0, btw.
I did the Erase and Reset option in the settings and let it run until it was completed. Then, the loader spinny thing over the iPhone logo kept happening so I plugged it into my computer and tried to restore via iTunes.
That worked somewhat and I got thrown into the "slide for emergency" screen. I haven't found any solid answer for my iPhone's version. Only 2G answers popped up.
I miss my iPhone can anyone give me a step by step guide of how to fix this?
I have a TMobile sim card. I've heard you need to activate the iPhone with an AT&T one and I don't plan to getting that. Anyone have a simpler way I can activate my iPhone?

What OS version did you restore after you did the erase all content and settings? If it was 3.1.3 the chances are low that you can get it working with tmobile right now. New unlock for 3.1.3 and higher not due until June.

I've always had it at 3.0 so I'm sure it restored at 3.0. Do I need to unlock my iPhone with a program for it to be compatible with a TMobile sim?

Yes you need to jailbreak and unlock.

Itunes will download and restore the latest os 3.1.3 unless you shift-click restore and browse to a 3.0 ipsw.
