SIM Proxies
Hi Guys,
I've got myself an iPhone 3G - locked to UK O2 running
FW 2.2 with 02.11.07 Baseband (From FW 2.1)
I'm getting around the SIM Lock with a YesSIM proxy sim. My SIM card is Vodafone UK.
Now, with the release of YellowSn0w 0.9.5 - I might be able to do away with my YesSIM. However, if I upgrade to 02.28.00 Baseband (FW 2.2) - that will stop the SIM Proxy from working - and if YellowSn0w doesn't work - then my iPhone is basically bricked.
So, my question is - if in the event that I can't get YellowSn0w to work - is there a SIM Proxy that will work against 02.28.00 baseband ?
Cheers

Not really. My suggestion is to wait. Wait for someone to give their working situation that matches yours (i.e. same carrier and SIM series numbers)
If it has been working for a long time (a couple weeks or months), then using it for a few more days won't hurt (but I do not endorse or recommend using SIM proxies...)

No risk, No gain. You would never know for sure if you dont try. with 0.9.6 yellowsno0, failure rate all ove the world is very minimum. anyway.....your call man.
