Sim locked iPhone
I īve owner to an iPhone since august and the phone has since that day been simlocked for 5 times for no reason. Once it was locked when I talked to somebody and it has also
been locked in my pocket. Is there someone who has similiar problems?
Iīve recently send the item to repairstore for status and they couldīnt find anything....
Itīs really frustrating..

Simlocked iPhone for no reason
Iīv posted a thread before about this issue but I want to really get this clear..
Iīv owner to an iPhone 3G with the official carrier called Telia in Sweden and Iīve always upgrade to the latest firmware as soon as possible. The thing is that I have worked with 2 different iPhone, both is totally new and they had been simlocked both several times. My first one was send to a repairstore here in Sweden and they couldnīt find anything wrong with it but it still appeared similiar. After the second control for the repairstore, they gave me a new one. It tooked about 2-3 days. Same problem..
Both phones has been simlocked when I called somebody, when I surf on the web, and also when it has been in my jeans.
Iīve tried to reinstall everything from the begin. Iīve tried several simcards, even try to put a little bit of thin paper to see if it not sit enough tight to the simholder. One of the gyus on a forum in Sweden was having that problem, and it was succesful. Is there any who has had this kind of problem? Is it possible to have these problems with two phones? Iīve never had any phone who had this kind of trouble.. Please give some respons!! The items is not jailbreaked.

Many shops are using an internal turbo SIM. You go to buy the Iphone and they tell u that it is unlocked with no SIM solution. What they do is; They open the phone and insert the turbo internally on its board so u won't notice the double SIMs in the tray.
This as a SIM solution unlock. And yes the phone after few days or week will get locked again in most of cases..

Are you kidding?Come on! This carrier in Sweden are the biggest operator here. I canīt imagine that they would act like that. It is a serious company.

listen you have to put pressure on your carrier, you paid good money for the phone and service, demand another phone and a new SIM card and if it fails again cancel out your contract and return your phone.
Apple sold more than 7 million Iphones this quarter alone and the problem you described is not common, putting paper in the sim tray is something not recommended and it would void the warranty,IT DOESN'T suppose to work that way. Give them another chance you may get lucky this time.

Compare your model number against the ones listed in Apple website to ensure that model is meant for your carrier or not.

I read that link you gave me. In Sweden itīs supposed to be MB489KS/A,
MB496KS/A , MB500KS/A. My modelnr. is MB048LL.
So you mean that my phone is not made for my country and thatīs why it appears as it does?
Please give me an explanation.

I think you answered your own question there.
