[Selling] iPhone to switch to iPhone 3G
What are your plans for making the switch?
I've got a jailbroken iPhone that I'm considering doing the ebay dump for, as i could most likely get enough for it to cover at least the $199 8gb 3G. I know we'll be activating at the store, and then having to connect to itunes at home to complete the process.
I'm concerned what state that will leave my original iPhone. I'd like to sell it on ebay jailbroken and ready-to-go ... As of now, I can get it to a semi-virginal jailbroken state (hey, its not truly virginal if its jailbroken), ready for anyone. But that's without AT&T and T activating a 3G.
What do we think AT&T will do to the SIM card in the phone? Will I still be able to jailbreak my iPhone even tho it won't have service attached to it? Any other concerns you can think of?
Thanks!

First, your title is not conformity with the rules. please read the stickies.
second, yes you can jailbreak. You may have to "hactivate" the phone before jailbreaking so that it can be used but not activated officially.
iPhone "2G" - 3.1.3 - Jailbroken + iPhoDroid
iPhone 4 - 4.0.2 - Not jailbroken (yet)

I don't see the sticky you're referencing. Nothing in the FAQ as far as I see. I'll gladly change it if you show me where it says to...
